Adam Sandler is getting the crew back together for a second gathering of childhood friends with Grown Ups 2 and honestly…why not. The first movie, Grown Ups, made over $271 million dollars. Not a bad payday when you get to work and laugh with a bunch of your friends.
The plot is simple, Lenny Feder (Adam Sandler) has relocated his family back to the small town where he and his friends grew up. This time around, the grown ups are the ones learning lessons from their kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school. I love Sandler’s stuff and any time a deer can pee on you while you lay in bed or college guys can make grown adults cliff jump naked, I’ll most likely be laughing. (To be honest, the fact that the Great One’s daughter was cast as a coed in the film will also have me buying a ticket.)
The movie is directed by Dennis Dugan, (who directed the first film) and stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Taylor Lautner, David Spade, Chris Rock, Steve Buscemi, Jackie Sandler, Aly Michalka, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph, Andy Samberg, Milo Ventimiglia, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Steve Austin.
